Caregiver Bags

Caregiver bags are basically "storytime in a bag!" These themed bags are geared towards any caregiver working with a child in preschool through first grade. Each bag is built around a specific theme that will introduce important concepts of early childhood learning. View in Catalog

Special Collections

Not only does the library offer Board books, Easy Fiction, Juvenile Fiction and Children's non-fiction, we also provide special collections. These include SC Award winners, Caldecott Award winners, Newberry Award winners and more. Many books in Braille are available. Our collection also includes kits that contain a book and CD. A selection of eBooks are available that may be downloaded from the library’s website. We also have a collection of educational board games that may be checked out.

Upcoming Children's Events

Storytime on the Spectrum
Tuesday, October 7

This monthly, evening storytime is geared towards children with special needs and their families. Parents, children, and caregivers are invited to listen to stories, play games, and create simple craft projects. This month's theme is "Storytime from the Black Lagoon."

Homeschoolers Meet Up
Friday, October 10

Join us at 10:30am at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. We'll take a tour of the library and discuss ways in which the library is able to support homeschool activities. This new group will meet monthly to exchange ideas, lesson plans, and resources with fellow homeschoolers.

Mother Goose on the Loose

This new nursery rhyme program lets children, ages birth - 3 with a caregiver, have fun while learning social skills in an environment that will help to prepare them for preschool.
