Do you have any old (or even not-so-old) photographs of Pickens County people or places? We would like to take a look and consider them for our collection. Generally, we are looking for pre-1980 photos of schools, churches, historic homes, prominent persons, public events and commercial and government buildings. You do NOT have to donate your photos. We can return them after they have been scanned. Also, any information about the photo is especially helpful. We have several unidentified photos in our Flickr collection, so play detective with us!
Check Your Attic!
The Library System and the State Archives are missing the following years of our local papers. If you have any old newspapers, please consider donating them to the library to fill the gap for our researchers.
